Land of Nod is a site we just can't get enough of. And when we read how the company was founded, we became even more endeared. Here's Chapter 1 to the happy-ending story about the start of Land of Nod, straight from the Land of Nod Website:
Thump-thump.
When you start a company in your basement, like we did,
certain things come with the territory.
Thump-thump.
A son who learns the letters UPS before the lestter ABC.
Thump-thump.
Strange looks from neighbors who wonder why any normal
household needs to many phone lines.
Thump-thump.
Inventory stored in bedrooms and bathrooms.
Thump-thump.
And, of course, the constant background sound of a noisy furnace.
Thump-thump.
But, hey, you get used to it.
Thump-thump.
And now that we've been in our new space for a few years,
Thump-thump.
We've got to admit there are times we miss that old funace.
